We have been using “hot” volatile essential oils since researching them around 2010. These are not like olive oil. They burn your tongue for 10 seconds.
This was in humans who were quite ill and who had failed to heal with care from leading Lyme doctors in various Lyme organizations.
I cannot comment on most volatile oils, as we only researched the North American Herb and Spice brand.
Do these cause a burn? Sure. They are not for salads.
Purchase empty gelatin capsules that are “slow release,” “time release,” or “enteric.” Why? If you buy size 2 and size 00 slow-release capsules, they open slowly in the small intestine.
Size 2 is small, and one essential oil fits in it, requiring a low initial dose that is then increased. Then the size-2 capsule is inserted into the larger size-00 capsule. This creates a dual enteric, or slow-release, system that releases clovanol, cinnamol, or oreganol. I use one daily for a week, or five out of seven weekdays, and the following week, I use a different one.
So you can see what each oil does and what dose is comfortable.
