California Medical Freedom Bill
-- Passed and Signed into Law
PATIENTS' WANT MEDICAL OPTIONS: THEY DO NOT WANT A STATE MEDICAL BOARD THAT PRETENDS TO KNOW ALL THINGS
ANOTHER LOSS FOR AUTHORITARIAN ABUSIVE STATE BOARDS PRACTICING "MEDICINE" BY THOUGHT CONTROL
I am a problem solver. Sometimes that means inventing a solution to a medical problem that a drug company is not even asking let alone answering. So much of medicine is limited to the information given out or funded by drug companies. Further, some medical boards are ignorant enough to be led around by the newest edict of the DEA, Ivy Tower grant docs, and what a few lawyers or a few doctors on the board panel feel is wise medicine.
Currently, there is over 11 million articles in Pubmed and much experience is yet to make its way to those journals. I publish quite a bit, and really get nothing from it except the hope it helps others who suffer. Many spend their time and experience in other ways, like seeing more patients instead of writing.
Slowly, more and more state legislatures and voter initiatives are voting for reigning in the thought control police. Many Medical Boards hate to allow you to choose the mode of care you want. They warn: be careful, a drug company might not have funded that treatment and it may not be FDA approved. I use medications, and any fool who thinks they can treat every illness with nutrition or herbs or other alternative modalities is over stating their good uses. However, you should be allowed to go the route you feel fits your medical philosophy.
Here is the newest victory in medical board reform. Other states have already reformed or will reform. Support these initiatives or you will lose your very best creative docs to clone thinking. I am already seeing some of the smartest physicians and dentists saying, it is not worth the hassle and pursuing other fields and having more fun and making a better living. If your health care providers—nurses, doctors, physical therapists, compounding pharmacists, etc—are not taken care of you will find that American medicine will become Big Brother paperwork and it will feel like third world medicine. It already has that feel in some places.
sb1691 -- Medical Freedom Bill
The California governor has signed into law sb1691, which disallows the Medical Board of California from sanctioning a doctor solely because he is an alternative practitioner. This bill becomes
effective January 1.
For doctors sanctioned by the Medical Board of
California for being alternative, beginning in January they may go back to the Board to have their case nullified.
"The court of appeals in California has decided in favor of Dr. Robert Sinaiko, (who was prosecuted for treating MCS/CFIDS patients with EPD[an allergy modality]), on the basis that he was deprived of due process. This case will now go back to the Medical Board.
