Who Is A Babesia, Lyme Disease, And Bartonella Expert?

Is someone trained in infectious diseases?

1. All physicians need to be very literate in infections in their area. In neurology. Lyme disease has over 32 pages of single-spaced, peer-reviewed expert papers on its impact on psychiatric and neurological health. One of the leading Lyme disease researchers whom I observed in a 1986 lecture is a psychiatrist who runs the Tick Infection Columbia Lyme Center.

2. I have focused on these three infections, and my goal in 2026 is to have 14 books only on these three infections.

True experts of Lyme disease, Bartonella, and Babesia focus on these.

Because, as with tennis, baseball, and football, you cannot be an expert in four sports and rarely in two sports. Among infectious disease physicians, it is clear that they know so little about Bartonella and the coinfections Lyme disease and Babesia that they cannot measure excellence. They seem to think that if a doctor is good at politics or in a position, they are elite. Is this a high school?

You are elite after 10,000 hours of training. You are elite after decades of research, massive study, and solution creation. Do you think infections that evade the immune system with peerless skill in the modern medical age are defeated within 2-4 weeks?

I have created books, films, cartoons, papers, etc. over decades and millions spent in self-funded research to help infection doctors move from unreasonable positions. But I was silly. Until your children are dying, or your spouse and many patients, I doubt you will read more than a lazy guideline or guidebook.

The good news is that fewer are listening to those treating 15,000 infections, and, by virtue of success and superior scholarship, others are being seen as leaders against “magic” medicine. I have published more texts on these three infections than….. The type that makes no money but saves lives and that train doctors to start at S, not C.

I was recently reading the work of an excellent physician with strong skills, who primarily publishes on strep. He sells himself as a “Lyme disease expert.”

Since I have an exciting Destroy Depression book out in January 2026, I am reminded that so many think they are top psychiatrists, with 100 types of vocations or relatives or friends who are experts on major depression—so many answers and so narrow, dated knowledge. Silly right?

Lyme politics is as bad. You read a terse guideline or take a few-day lecture series, and you are as good as Michael Jordan, Steph Curry, or Tiger Woods. The reality is that you have 9,980 more hours to become an “expert.”

And the true experts are reading 200 other people. Often.
