It has been known for years that manganese can harm lyme. Recently a paper reports that very low and overwhelmingly high manganese helps kill borrelia or Lyme disease.
Our current approach in treating humans is to test three levels of manganese
- WHOLE BLOOD MANGANESE LEVEL.
- RBC OR RED BLOOD CELL MANGANESE
- SERUM MAGNESIUM.
The first two are most important since only 5% of manganese is in your watery blood fluid.
With these three, a physician can suggest what a safe supplementation could be for you.

- muscle stiffness (opens in new tab)
- tremors
- poor coordination
- difficulty walking
- irritability
- cognitive impairment
- headaches
- insomnia (opens in new tab)
- respiratory issues
- speech trouble
- Trouble swallowing
- weakness
- Others exist but Lyme disease itself can cause these symptoms.
