Can Atovaquone (Mepron) and Azithromycin (Z-Pack, Zithromax) Cure Babesia?
- We did not see major killing on old treatment guidelines on atovaquone yellow liquid at 10 mls (two teaspoons) daily.
- Our research did not show azithromycin 500 mg a day killed Babesia on expert blood smears.
- Atovoquone 10 mls and 500 mg together, daily, did not produce a decrease in Babesia infections in often repeated long blood smear slides over months. Does it work for other doctors? No idea.
- Atovoquone worked better as you raised the dose. 20mls was able to kill some Babesia, and 30mls a day killed the most.
- As published in my Babesia 2009 Update book, 1500 mg of azithromycin did not show any clear effect at killing Babesia. 2,000 mg did kill some Babesia on veteran expert pathology microbiologist.
- We did not do 2000 long term.
- We never saw a cure of Babesia 30 mls daily, 3x the old treatment guidelines. After approximately 3-4 months decades ago, we added things that are in the 2006 definitive expert textbook and since more highly exact essential oils, not 10 options, plus occasionally standardized herbs or semisynthetic versions of the herbs.
- Babesia reproduces roughly 30x in a month. But many well known bacteria reproduce over 25, 000 in a month. So we feel short treatment stuns and may kill a small fraction in short treatments even if it is useful medication.
KEY POINT: People selling themselves as solid Babesia doctors, who do not read the leading books on Babesia are a mystery. I read vast numbers of journal articles. In Babesia medicine they have many holes and minimal experience. A death risk of 1.4% means it is best to consult a specialist who is not merely a LL MD or infection doctor who has merely a passing trivial mention or experience in their training while they learn 750 infections.
