I learned of Dr Schaller from a former patient who highly recommended him. Both the former patient and I had/have a more rare form of Lyme disease with coinfections. Dr. Schaller cleared her symptoms and she remains symptom free. I had an initial phone consultation with the doctor followed by an in person visit at his Florida office. It is worth the trip. Dr Schaller understands the complexity of Lyme disease more than other Lyme doctors. I started on my journey with Dr Schaller recently, and I find him and his team to be professional, courteous, thorough and empathic. I am confident that I’m on the right track to improved health under Dr Schaller’s care.

After 17 years of many drs and specialists trying to treat our son’s Lyme Disease with symptoms increasing in severity, we, finally, found Dr Schaller! He is brilliant, very accessible, takes as much time as you need to explain things and treat the disease and the several co-tick-borne illnesses that came with the Lyme. Dr J has been wonderful to work with. The care I’ve experienced from him has truly been unmatched. This is the first time in a decade that I have actually started feeling better after treatment. I am very excited to write this review! I had my first appointment with Dr. J today. Let me just start off by saying, I feel heard, and validated in how I have been feeling. I have been having symptoms since last fall. I did not feel good! I had a weird neck and chest rash, fatigue, muscle and joint pain and occasional headaches. At the beginning of this year I started twitching all over my body and didn’t think much of it at first, within a month I had muscle jerks, eye floaters, neck pain, hand tremors, anxiety and tinnitus. To say the least these are very scary symptoms. I went to doctor after doctor chasing answers and no one could tell me what was going on. I was told it was anxiety and menopause. I became my own advocate! I know my body! I found a functional medicine doctor who was able to diagnose me through a very sensitive testing lab called IgeneX, which come to find out Dr. Schaller uses them too! The results were positive for Lyme, Bartonella and Babesia. I had heard of Lyme but not the others. I wanted to find out as much as I could about what was going on with my body. I did my research and the same name kept coming up….Dr. James Schaller. I called the office and Kim, who has been with him 18 years couldn’t have been any nicer to me. I have been feeling so bad for so long, it was such a relief to have someone on the other end of the phone that understood what I had been going through. I am literally in tears writing this review, finally someone was willing to listen to me. Kim has done research, co-written books with Dr. Schaller and understands these diseases….and this was just the first phone call. To my surprise she told me that Dr. Schaller would call me within 48 hours. She emphasized how important it was to him to prioritize new patients. I received that phone call in less than 24 hours. Dr. Schaller and I had an amazing conversation for over an hour. We had a wonderful conversation about our families, we discussed all of my blood work, he explained everything about the three diseases that I have. He explained to me how everything is affecting my body and most importantly how we are going to fix it and get me healthy again. I know that I found the right person, there is no doubt in my mind. I am so thankful that I kept coming across his name and made that phone call. I know I have someone that cares and will help me get through this. My husband is a dentist and sees patients everyday and I see level of care and love that he gives to his patients, I feel like I have found someone that cares like he does. I am excited about the plan that Dr. J has in place for me and looking forward to getting started. Feeling very grateful!

Thank goodness we found Dr. Schaeller. In two days of being on his protocol, I’ve recovered by 50 to 60%.
