Title: Health Product Sales Opponents either Masochistic or Presumptuous The American Medical News is the leading medical newspaper for physicians. I take the AMA officials to task for expecting physicians to sell nutrients with absolutely no mark up. I consider this to be slavery. It ignores the massive expenses any academic nutritionist, physician, pharmacist or chiropractor makes in learning about nutrition. If they provide nutrients at cost or "for free," that really means the practitioner is buying no books, no journals and attending minimal conferences on nutrition. Generally, free equals mediocre knowledge. People do it as a caring hobby. We need advanced nutrition to be as common as a raindrop, not as rare as a black pearl. |
