Title: Geodon or Ziprasidone and Side Effects, Psychosis, Delusions, Hallucinations, and Reactions One new concern of psychiatrists is that they are finally hearing patients who complain about weight. And it seems the drug companies are also finally listening. Patients are so patient. It has been an issue ignored too long! Some current medications can possibly decrease your weight, others have a minimal few pounds, and others can be a problem. One new medication used for more serious psychiatry problems is Geodon. While it is a serous attempt to have an anti-psychotic that has no weight gain, we have noticed in some patients the possibility of a worsening of hallucinations. One good area of research is that new medications are coming out and in research which are designed to assist with healthy insulin function and weight loss. Some exist now but we need more options. |
