Transfected Malaria Inside Live Red Blood Cell

Here we see Green Fluorescence Protein which is essentially a green fluorescence dye on transfected malaria inside live Red Blood cells. This video shows the ability to see both the dyed organisms and the regular live cell background with no dye. Malaria is similar to American Babesia, which is also an infection of red blood cells, and is much more common in the USA than is appreciated.
