NPR Interviews Real Mold PatientsNPR mentions the CDC reports that indoor mold causes lung and skin problems. But since mold toxins can often pass through skin I would be surprised if their effects were limited to two organs. In this radio broadcast a nurse is interviewed and reports almost vomiting with exposure to the mold in her home. One remediator talks about the problems of having a humid home with dampness and no air conditioning. It warns that mold is particularly a danger for young children and the elderly. They discuss the trouble of hidden moisture which can reside behind walls and allow mold to grow. Some use small moisture meters to detect hidden excess condensation and moisture. www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4932987 |
